On This Day - 18th July

On this day in 1984, all eyes were focused on The Racecourse, Newton Abbot, where 514 Chalky White struck back.  The fourth of the midweek dates that summer for the BriSCA F2 Stock Cars resulted in The Sidbury Show Off notching a heat and final double, to level the scores of feature race wins with his friend and rival 617 Mike James, who had won two of the previous three Wednesday night finals.
