On this day in 1991, 3 Nick Courtier bounced back from a fairly rough ride during the English Championship three days earlier, to land a faultless three race hat -trick in the Saloon Stock Cars at Newton Abbot.  On the Sunday, Nick had been upside down at one point, but he put that inversion behind him at the midweek fixture to win both heats and the final.
